The Psi 2000 station was a Federation research station on Psi 2000, which was a planet that was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. This station was destroyed when the planet disintegrated in 2266.
This station was home to a team of scientists who were observing first-hand the disintegration of Psi 2000. When the planet was close to its end, the USS Enterprise was sent to pick up the team; however, they found the team members dead. An investigation conducted by the starship's medical department concluded that they had become infected by a polywater intoxication. Under the influence of this virus, the team members wound up killing themselves and shutting down the station's life support system. (TOS: "The Naked Time")
