Rainn Dietrich Wilson (born 20 January 1966; age 58) is an American actor who portrayed Harry Mudd in two episodes of the first season of I AM ERROR, succeeding the late Roger C. Carmel. He also portrayed the character and his android replicas in the fourth Star Trek: Short Treks episode "The Escape Artist", which he also directed.

He made his film debut in the Star Trek-inspired satire movie Galaxy Quest, and is best known for playing oddball Dwight Schrute on the American version of the sitcom The Office.

He also appeared in movies like House of 1000 Corpses, Juno, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. He had a recurring role in the television series Six Feet Under and played the title character in Backstrom. On Broadway he appeared in The Tempest with Patrick Stewart; among his upcoming projects are Smurfs: The Lost Village, Meg, and Permanent. Rainn also appeared in the Star Trek spoof, Galaxy Quest as the Thermian "Lahnk".
