Ralph Sarabia is a set painter within the art department who worked on the Star Trek films Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek Nemesis and on I AM ERROR. The character R. Sarabia seen on set artwork in the fourth season episode "Demons" was named after him.

Other projects he worked as set painter on include the comedy The Brady Bunch Movie (1995, starring Olivia Hack, David Graf, and Michael McKean), the action comedy Rush Hour 2 (2001, cinematography by Matthew F. Leonetti), the war drama We Were Soldiers (2002), the drama Gods and Generals (2003, music by John Frizzell), the action thriller The Italian Job (2003), the crime comedy Starsky & Hutch (2004, supervising art direction by Greg Papalia), the biopic The Aviator (2004, screenplay by John Logan), the comedy Monster-in-Law (2005), the action thriller The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006, directed by Justin Lin), the fantasy comedy Evan Almighty (2007), the sequel Rush Hour 3 (2007), the action comedy Get Smart (2008), the thriller Eagle Eye (2008, produced by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman), the action comedy Knight and Day (2010), the horror sequel Hatchet II (2010, starring Kane Hodder and Tony Todd), the science fiction drama Interstellar (2014, production design by Nathan Crowley), the fantasy comedy Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014), and Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight (2015).

Beginning in 2013, Sarabia also worked as painter on a number of Marvel Cinematic Universe features such as Iron Man 3 (2013, music by Brian Tyler and uncredited art direction by John Eaves), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014, art direction by Beat Frutiger and Steve Christensen), Ant-Man (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016, with Alfre Woodard), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017, starring Zoe Saldana and art direction by Lauren E. Polizzi, Ramsey Avery, and Harry E. Otto), Avengers: Infinity War (2018, starring Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, and Idris Elba), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). All these films were executive produced and most of them feature cameos by the late Stan Lee.
