Ramsey Avery is a production designer who was supervising art director on Star Trek Into Darkness.

Ramsey previously worked as art director on Woops! (1992), episodes of Joe's Life (1993), The Office (1995), and Private Practice (2008), Minority Report (2002), Team America: World Police (2004), G-Force (2009), Edgar Floats (2010), and A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011, starring John Cho).

Avery worked as associate art director on two seasons of Roseanne (1989-1991), as assistant art director on A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001, starring Haley Joel Osment and Jude Law, and working with Harry E. Otto), and as art director for the re-shoot sequences on Edge of Darkness (2010) and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (2010).

He was also an assistant production designer on A Different World (1990) and production designer on the thriller Right at Your Door (2006), Taking 5 (2007), and Waitress (2007).

Avery was twice nominated for an Excellence in Production Design Award from the Art Directors Guild in the category Feature Film – Period or Fantasy Films: 2002 for his work on A.I. Artificial Intelligence, shared with Harry E. Otto, and 2003 for Minority Report, also shared with Otto. In 2008 he received an Excellence in Production Design Award nomination in the category Commercials for the live action sequence on the second Bee Movie trailer.
