Ray Gilberti is a visual effects camera operator who worked for Industrial Light & Magic on three Star Trek films and the Star Trek: The Next Generation pilot episode "Encounter at Farpoint".

Other credits as visual effects camera operator for ILM include the horror film Poltergeist (1982), the science fiction sequel Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983), the science fiction drama Starman (1984), the science fiction film Back to the Future (1985, starring Christopher Lloyd), Enemy Mine (1985), the fantasy adventure Willow (1988), the adventure Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), the fantasy sequel Ghostbusters II (1989), the science fiction sequel Back to the Future Part II (1989), Steven Spielberg's adventure Hook (1991), the horror thriller In the Mouth of Madness (1994), the action film Mercury Rising (1998), and the comedy Doctor Dolittle (1998).

As effects director of photography for ILM he worked on the fantasy adventure The Mummy (1999) and its sequel The Mummy Returns (2001), George Lucas' science fiction prequel Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), the science fiction comedy Galaxy Quest (1999), the action adventure Space Cowboys (2000), the fantasy film Monkeybone (2001), the action drama Pearl Harbor (2001), and the science fiction remake Planet of the Apes (2001). Other credits include layout artist on the fantasy adventure Van Helsing (2004) and camera operator on the drama Retaliation (2006).
