Memorable quotes[]
Background information[]
- This issue featured two stories, the main story, "Remembrance", and a painted story, "Rules of Behavior". Both stories are set shortly before the events of DS9: "The Way of the Warrior". "Remembrance" is a sequel to DS9: "Blood Oath", while "Rules of Behaviour" is a sequel to an earlier DS9 comic, "Hearts of Old".
- Five pages at the end of the issue contain essays about the main governments of the Alpha Quadrant: the Cardassian Union, the Romulan Star Empire, the Klingon Empire, and the United Federation of Planets.
- The last page of the issue contains a Klingon Language Translation. Leonard Kirk thanks "Marc Okrand and everyone else who had a hand in developing the Klingon language. Without their marvelous work, this page would have been used for some
dumbad." - Phil Crain also thanks Lawrence Schoen of the Klingon Language Institute for his work fine tuning the translations. Schoen himself wrote: "I was rather pleased with the final result of that issue. It is a strange thing to receive a comic book script and pour over it for Klingon corrections. My biggest problem with it of course was the bizarre names they were using, but as they *were* names I couldn't object too much (though I did repeat my concerns several times along with my suggestions). I was very gratified to see credit listed to the KLI, and perhaps the extra attention they gave to the language in the issue will yield a few more members somewhere down the line. A letter of encouragement to Phil Crain, the editor at Malibu, expressing your appreciation for the lengths he went to wouldn't hurt either". [1]
