Residential pods were living quarters utilized in Federation colonies, including the planned Melona colony.
The residential pods would have surrounded the school and arts center and would have been located close to the hospital facility. The planet was devastated by the Crystalline Entity in 2368 before any such pods could be constructed. (TNG: "Silicon Avatar")
