Rex Holman (born 19 November 1928; age 90) is an actor who appeared twice in Star Trek, the first time as Morgan Earp in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "Spectre of the Gun". His appearance in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier as J'onn is his last known on-screen appearance. Holman was born as Roy Eugene Baker in Tulsa, Oklahoma and lived most of his life in Southern California.
Holman was originally cast as Virgil Earp in "Spectre of the Gun", however, the original actor playing Morgan Earp was fired after the first shooting day due to his drug problems, and Holman was recast in his role, while Charles Maxwell was hired to play Virgil. (These Are the Voyages: TOS Season Three, pp. 72-73) Holman filmed his scenes between Tuesday 21 May 1968 and Monday 27 May 1968 at Desilu Stage 10.
In 1970, Holman recorded an album on the Pentagram label called Here in the Land of Victory. It featured a mix of country, blues, and eastern influenced folk.
In 1976, he appeared on the TV series The Land of the Lost. He was the ship's captain, Reuben Van Demeer, in the episode "Flying Dutchman".
