Richard Chronister is a special effects artist who worked as part of Dick Brownfield's special effects team on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Insurrection.
Lieutenant Richard Chronister, Chronister, and Chronister II, in-universe references in episodes of The Next Generation and Voyager, were named after him.
Beside his work on Star Trek, he also worked as special effects artist on Back to the Future (1985, with Kevin Pike), Die Hard (1988, with Bruce MacRae, Dennis Schultz, Mark Stetson, and Matthew Yuricich), and Mystery Men (1999, with Vartan Chakarian, Eugene Crum, Donald Frazee, Logan Frazee, Terry Frazee, Brian Sipe, Todd Tucker, Keith VanderLaan, and Ralph Winiger).
