Richard Lavin (born 4 January 1945; age 80) is a retired actor who appeared in two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Archive footage of his second appearance was later reused in the final episode of the second season.

Lavin made his television debut in PBS' The Killing Floor (1985, starring Alfre Woodard, with Bill Blair). This was followed with an appearance on NBC's Rags to Riches (1987, with Gerrit Graham), Robert Butler's Out of Time (1988, written by Brian Alan Lane and co-starring Barbara J. Tarbuck and Rick Avery), and Limit Up (1989, starring Dean Stockwell and also featuring Sally Kellerman). He was most recently seen in a recurring role on Santa Barbara in 1991.
