Rick Avery (born 28 April) is a stuntman, stunt coordinator, stunt actor and second unit director who performed stunts as a Juhraya colonist in the Star Trek: The Next Generation seventh season episode "Preemptive Strike" in 1994 and worked as the stunt coordinator on Star Trek: Insurrection. On the Star Trek: Insurrection (Special Edition) DVD feature "Anatomy of a Stunt", he's describing the making of a stunt scene, a 30 ft. high fall from a cliff, which was cut from the final aired movie.
