Rick Remender (born 6 February 1973; age 51) is a comic book author. Currently living in Portland, Oregon, Remender has written and/or co-created comics such as Strange Girl, Night Mary, and Fear Agent. He has also written for Red Sonja and Battlestar Galactica, and is the current writer on The Atom for DC Comics. He has also worked on Bruce Campbell's Man with the Screaming Brain and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Outside of the comics industry, he does album covers for NOFX and served as an animator on several feature films, including The Iron Giant, Titan AE, and Rocky and Bullwinkle. He also did the mock comic book covers for Ultraviolet.
He was the original author of the story for IDW Publishing's "Alien Spotlight: Vulcans", but was forced to pull out, allowing James Patrick to take over. Remender was credited with the "Story Suggestion" in the final issue.
