Rick Sandford (31 December 1950–28 September 1995; age 44) [1] was an actor who appeared as a Ten Forward waiter in the Star Trek: The Next Generation third season episodes "Sarek", "Ménage à Troi", and "Transfigurations". Archive footage from "Ménage à Troi" was later re-used for the Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episode "These Are The Voyages...". Sandford received no credit for his appearances.
He received credits for his featured roles in Police Woman (1976, with Charles Dierkop, James Darren and Walt Davis) and Step by Step (1993, with Kelli Kirkland and Dorothy Hack). Other appearances include episodes of Scarecrow and Mrs. King (1985, starring Kate Jackson, with Larry Clardy, Joel Schultz, Roger Trantham, John Vorges, Kai J. Wong, Donna Garrett, and Tom Morga) and Falcon Crest (1987, with Robert Foxworth, Brett Cullen, Dana Sparks, Jonathan Banks, Barbara J. Tarbuck, Andre Campbell, Sandy Goldman, Jeff Kober, Gene Poe, and Kevin G. Tracey). Sandford worked as stand-in on Step by Step.
Sandford died following complications of AIDS on 28 September 1995 at the age of 44. [2]
