Star Trek: Lower Decks creator Mike McMahan worked on this show as a writer, producer, story editor and – for the fourth season – showrunner.

Additionally, several voice actors from Rick and Morty have voiced characters on Lower Decks, including Troy Baker, Eric Bauza, Brandon Johnson, Jennifer Hale, Jess Harnell, Echo Kellum, Tom Kenny, Maurice LaMarche, Phil LaMarr, Nolan North, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ryan Ridley, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, Paul F. Christopher Lloyd, whose character Doc Brown from Back to the Future became the inspiration for Rick also appeared in three live-action teasers that aired before the fifth season finale as a Rick from another dimension who's known as Rick C-132. [1]
