Robert Lewin

Robert Lewin (9 May 192028 August 2004; age 84) was an Academy Award-nominated writer and producer who served as co-producer of Star Trek: The Next Generation during its first season. Lewin was brought in at the behest of producer Robert H. Justman.

Lewin was also credited in the writing of four episodes in the first season, including "Datalore" (story and teleplay), "11001001" (writer), "The Arsenal of Freedom" (story), and "Symbiosis" (story and teleplay).

In addition to his writing credits, Lewin, along with Dorothy Fontana, revised a draft of the undeveloped episode "Terminus", a story originally written by Philip and Eugene Price.

Lewin died on 28 August 2004 of lung cancer.
