Robert Towers (born 19 August 1936; age 88) is the actor who portrayed the Rata in the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "The Battle". He was born in New York City, New York. He also voiced three characters in the video game Star Trek: 25th Anniversary, credited as Bob Towers.
Towers' career has been focused mainly in comedy and family films with some action roles mixed in. Towers co-starred in Stewardess School (1986, with Earl Boen, Brett Cullen, Paddi Edwards, Paul Eiding, Bill Erwin, Richard Lineback and Don Most) and Masters of the Universe (1988, starring Frank Langella, with Star Trek: Voyager's Robert Duncan McNeill, Anthony De Longis, Meg Foster and Christina Pickles). Towers was later seen in Hot to Trot (1988, with Virginia Madsen, Jim Metzler and Vyto Ruginis), and Let it Ride (1989, with Terri Garr and Michelle Phillips). In the 90s Towers appeared in Switch (1991, with James Harper and Lily Mariye). Towers later appear in Sarah Silverman: Jesus is Magic (2005). He was also in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2007). In 2009, Towers acted in Table for Three with Jennifer Morrison. He later appeared as Lou in The Wedding Ringer (2015).
On television Towers kept active. He appeared on Baretta guest-starring with Jerry Hardin in "The Appointment", however Towers' television resume only expanded as time went on. Towers worked with Bonita Friedericy on Angel in the apocalyptic "Peace Out". He also appeared on Frasier (2004, starring Kelsey Grammer, with Larry Cedar and Don McManus). Up next for Towers was Hannah Montana in "Cheat It" with Michael Kagan. In 2008 he appeared in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in "The Gang Gets Whacked".
He also appeared in shows like Raven's Home as "Commando Joe" and Bunk'd as Babyface Munson.
