Ron Veto (24 October 1933 – 4 August 2004; age 70) was an actor and stuntman who portrayed Harrison in the first season of Star Trek: The Original Series. During his time on the show, he filmed at least one scene that was cut from the final episode: in main engineering as Harrison for "The Enemy Within". [1](X)
Apart from his role in Star Trek, he played bit parts in a number of films, including King of Kings, starring Jeffrey Hunter, and several Elvis Presley movies. He also performed stunts in numerous films such as Around the World in 80 Days (1956), Von Ryan's Express (1965), In Like Flint (1967), and Che! (1969). He can also be seen as an extra in the 1964 The Outer Limits episode "The Invisibles", written by Joseph Stefano, directed by Gerd Oswald, and featuring the voices of Vic Perrin and Robert C. Johnson, and makeup by Fred Phillips.
Veto's son is also active in the film-making business, mostly behind the camera, as a Steadicam operator and cinematographer, on numerous projects.
