Ronin was an anaphasic lifeform, which needed a corporeal lifeform to take physical form. He was bonded with females of the Howard family until 2370, when he was destroyed by Beverly Crusher. Ronin used a candle in order to maintain molecular cohesion. In corporeal form, he took the image of a male Human approximately thirty-four years old. He was able to maintain a strong grip on his hosts, and the result of their bonding was causing them to react and behave unusually, and their eye color to change into green, something that was mistaken as a genetic trait of the Howard women.
