San Francisco jogger 1

Two joggers

A runner, jogger, or sprinter was somebody who ran, either as an organized sport, or for pleasure.

In 1986, a Human male and his female fellow jogger witnessed the HMS Bounty's departure from Golden Gate Park, much to their confusion. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

In 2364, to explain his limp to Doctor Beverly Crusher, William T. Riker characterized Harry Bernard as an aspiring sprinter whom he had crashed into. The boy had been running away from his father Harry Bernard, Sr. in an attempt to escape a boring calculus class. (TNG: "When The Bough Breaks")

In 2373, Captain Kathryn Janeway asked a group of USS Voyager crewmembers who the fastest runner was among them. B'Elanna Torres gave her decathlon experience as a qualification, and Ayala volunteered as well. (VOY: "Basics, Part II")
