Background information

• Because Strange New Worlds was produced to 4K HD 2160p resolution standards by using the new 4K+ ultra high resolution ARRI Alexa cameras, [1] meant that this DVD version was in essence a to 480/576i resolution downscaled release.
• Contrary to its three-disc Blu-ray and 4K UHD counterparts, this DVD release had its special features split off onto its own separate fourth disc, the episode 1 audio commentary and bonus episode excepted.
