"Scarface" was a character with a noticeable scar on his right side of his face who appeared the holonovels based on the Dixon Hill series.
A hologram of his character appeared in The Big Good-Bye, and first appeared reading in a newspaper while standing in the shadows outside of Dixon Hill's office. Following Hills' arrival, Scarface barged into the office with the intention of recruiting him, quite forcefully, for a job. (TNG: "Manhunt")
Scarface, was played by recurring actor Robert O'Reilly.
This character was originally identified in the second revised draft of the script as "a mysterious man in a grey suit leaning against the wall between Picard and the office; a fedora is tilted down over one eye making his face hard to see." He was further identified simply as as a "Toughguy" whose appearance consisted of "olive skin, a jagged scar on his cheek and oddly pale eyes...". [1]
