Scott Alan Smith (born 8 November 1961; age 62) is the actor who played Doyle in the Star Trek: Voyager seventh season episode "Repression".

One of his earliest acting appearances was in a 1992 made-for-television movie called Running Mates, which starred fellow Voyager guest actor Ed Begley, Jr.. In 1994, he appeared in another TV movie, called A Time to Heal, featuring Tim Ransom. That same year, he appeared in Amelia Earhart: The Final Flight, with Warren Munson, and in 1996, he and Stephanie Niznik played reporters in the telefilm Apollo 11, which co-starred Matt Frewer and Tim Kelleher.

In 2003, he co-starred as Press Secretary Ari Fleischer in the TV movie DC 9/11: Time of Crisis, which also featured the likes of Penny Johnson, Stephen Macht, Lawrence Pressman, and Star Trek: The Original Series star George Takei.

His motion picture credits include Stargate (1994, with Leon Rippy and Erick Avari), The X-Files (1998, with Terry O'Quinn and George Murdock), Magnolia (1999, with Pat Healy, Henry Gibson, and Jim Beaver), Rules of Engagement (2000, with David Graf), and Bewitched (2005).

Besides a recurring role on Philly (also with Ron Canada), he also appeared in an episode of 7th Heaven, starring Catherine Hicks and Stephen Collins, and an episode of Boston Legal, starring William Shatner and René Auberjonois.
