Scott E. Hart (born 1 April 1959; age 64) is an animal trainer who worked with Gary Gero for Birds & Animals Unlimited as cat trainer for the Somali cats portraying Spot on the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episodes "Data's Day" and "In Theory".

Hart worked as animal supervisor on the television series Magnum, P.I. between 1981 and 1988. Other television credits are Tales from the Crypt (1990, with Larry Drake, Georgann Johnson, and William Frankfather) and Dream On (1994, with Michael McKean).

Film work as animal trainer and wrangler includes the comedy Seems Like Old Times (1980), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986, with Alan Ruck), Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987, with Michael McKean and Richard Herd), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), Strays (1991), the thriller To Protect and Serve (1992, with Jessie Lawrence Ferguson), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), The Minus Man (1999, working with Gary Gero), the drama The Last Producer (2000), the short drama Katherine (2002, with Sierra Pecheur), and Anger Management (2003).
