Sector 30 is a region of Federation controlled space located near the Romulan Neutral Zone. In 2364, several Federation outposts, including Science Station Delta 05, in Sector 30 and the neighbouring Sector 31 were destroyed by a then unknown enemy. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone") It is believed that the Borg are responsible for these destructions. (TNG: "Q Who?")
