The Serene Squall was a pirate vessel operated in space outside the Federation in the 2250s by Captain Angel. It had a mixed-species crew and conducted raids along the border of Federation space. (SNW: "The Serene Squall") It was briefly commandeered by Starfleet Captain Christopher Pike and his senior officers in 2259, after which it and its crew were taken into custody.
