Shaandra was an astronomical object in the same region as Sol/Jupiter.
In 2285, Shaandra's position was displayed on a star chart on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
This astronomical object was only mentioned in writing.
The image was taken from page T0:02:07:02 of the Star Fleet Technical Manual by Franz Joseph. The map claimed to depict principal star systems in the Federation. Based on the scale for the chart, Shaandra was located a tiny amount less than a parsec from Sol.
