Klingon show trial

A show trial was a type of public trial put on with the intention of satisfying public opinion rather than to achieve justice.

Upon viewing the trial held on Qo'noS for Leonard McCoy and James T. Kirk for the assassination of Chancellor Gorkon, which was had in front of thousands of Klingons chanting "Kirk" was deemed by Fleet Admiral Bill as "a damn show trial". (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

Cardassian justice employed show trial tactics as well, as they were put on merely for entertainment purposes only, as those put on trial were already considered guilty and were already sentenced to death. (DS9: "The Wire", "Tribunal")
