For the first shuttlepod numbered 1 attached to Enterprise, please see Shuttlepod 1 (2151).

Shuttlepod 1 was an United Earth shuttlepod that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-22nd century, attached to Enterprise. It was the replacement pod for the original that was scuttled in an alternate 1944. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")

Shuttlepod 1 was assigned to Enterprise after the ship's mission in the Delphic Expanse and the resolution of the Xindi crisis in 2154.

Shuttlepod 1 at Vulcan

Shuttlepod 1 was modified for a covert insertion into the The Forge on Vulcan in 2154. It was equipped with longer wings and a "stick-and-rudder system." The pod was intercepted and damaged by a pair of Vulcan patrol ships, forcing it to turn back to Enterprise. (ENT: "Awakening")

Shuttlepod 1 was in the launch bay where the Quinn Erickson anomaly appeared on Enterprise for a third time. ("Daedalus")

Pod 1 was used by Commander Tucker and Ensign Sato to return to Enterprise from a M class planet, where they were excavating a Klingon garbage site. Tucker started coughing uncontrollably and eventually collapsed before they arrived, forcing Sato to pilot the shuttlepod into the launch bay herself, something she had only done in simulations before. Captain Archer order the shuttlepod to be inspected to check if any of its environmental systems were the cause of Tucker's condition. (ENT: "Observer Effect")

The Tellarite delegation, including Ambassador Gral, that Enterprise was assigned to transport to the planet Babel for trade talks with the Andorians arrived from Tellar Prime in Shuttlepod 1. (ENT: "Babel One")

In 2155, while giving reporter and old flame Gannet Brooks a tour of Enterprise, Mayweather showed her the launch bay and the interior of Pod 1. (ENT: "Demons")

Brooks asks Mayweather which pod was used to penetrate a Delphic Expanse sphere, and he replies and motions to Pod 1, suggesting that this was the same Pod 1 that was destroyed in the alternate 1944, even though that Pod was completely consumed by explosives set by Mayweather himself.

Pod 1 was was used to covertly land on Mars during the Terra Prime incident. The pod was flown behind the comet Burke, and its inertial dampers were taken off-line, to conceal itself as a chunk of the comet on the approach to the planet. The shuttlepod was sabotaged, and once it was in the Martian atmosphere, the control console locked up and the hull plating went offline. Mayweather was able to recover and land the craft near the Carl Sagan Memorial Station. (ENT: "Terra Prime")

In 2370, a historical holographic program of the final voyage of Enterprise in 2161 included a recreation of Pod 1. (ENT: "These Are the Voyages...")
