In 2374, the chairman of Slug-o-Cola was Ferengi Commerce Authority Commissioner Nilva. That year, Slug-o-Cola had been losing ground to its primary competitor, Eelwasser. Quark, while disguised as Zek's female financial advisor, "Lumba", suggested to Nilva that he might improve his sales by advertising to females, with a new slogan:

"Drink Slug-o-Cola, and keep your teeth that lovely shade of green." (DS9: "Profit and Lace")

In 2381, viewscreen advertisements for Slug-o-Cola claimed that if a male Ferengi drank the beverage, it would enlarge his ears and make him irresistible to women. It further made an explicit claim that all consumers would invariably experience these beneficial effects. (LD: "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place")

The crime lord Sneed was fond of Slug-o-Cola and kept a Slug-o-Cola banner in his den on M'talas Prime. In 2401, he offered a bottle to Raffi Musiker when she came to meet him. (PIC: "Disengage")

Slug-o-Cola was served at Red's aboard the USS Discovery in the 32nd century. In 3191, Sylvia Tilly ordered a glass of Slug-o-Cola. (DIS: "Jinaal")

Slug-o-Cola was first mentioned in Legends of the Ferengi.
Dave Blass posted on Twitter a photo of the prop bottle seen in "Disengage", featuring both English and the Ferengi language on the label. [1]
