List of unnamed starships that were located in the Alpha or Beta Quadrants during the 24th century.
Ancient generation ship []
This ancient generation ship was discovered adrift, after several centuries, by the Federation in the late 24th century. The ship's crew was found mummified in disabled cryo units.
This vessel carried a unique molecular fluid capable of transforming inorganic material into a living ecosystem, which the ship's inhabitants had presumably planned to use to terraform their destination.
In 2380, on stardate 57538.9, the USS Cerritos assisted the USS Merced in relocating the ship. During the relocation of the vessel, the Merced moved out of formation and accidentally caused a hull breach in the generation ship. This caused a leak of the terraforming emulsion to both the Merced and the Cerritos. Lieutenant Beckett Mariner and Captain Carol Freeman, working together, were able to save the Cerritos. However, the Merced was too severely damaged, and her crew had to be beamed aboard the generation ship to ensure their survival. (LD: "Moist Vessel")
Deep Space 9 visitors[]
Alien freighter 1 []
This alien freighter was seen numerous times near Deep Space 9. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")
It visited in 2372, (DS9: "Hard Time", "The Muse") twice in 2373, (DS9: "For the Uniform", "Ties of Blood and Water") multiple times in 2374, (DS9: "Resurrection", "His Way", "Profit and Lace") and several times more in 2375. (DS9: "Treachery, Faith and the Great River", "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges", "'Til Death Do Us Part")
Betazed transport []
This transport had a scheduled run from Deep Space 9 to Betazed in 2372.
Prior to its arrival, Odo considered checking when the next transport left DS9 for Betazed, when offering to help Lwaxana Troi find a quiet place to have her baby. Following this suggestion, Troi felt that she "couldn't possibly go there. That's the first place Jeyal will look for me. I know him. He won't give up. Not until he finds me and gets his son back."
Later, when she was released from her obligation to Jeyal, Troi informed Odo that she had "wonderful news", specifically that "there's a transport for Betazed leaving this afternoon. I'm going home." (DS9: "The Muse")
Emi's family's ship []
Sarda's ship []
Umani sector transport []
This transport travelled from the Umani sector to Deep Space 9 in 2372 carrying Jeyal. (DS9: "The Muse")
Gravity well planet derelicts []
These derelicts had previously crash landed on the surface of a planet that was surrounded by a powerful gravity well. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")
Horned alien species' ship[]
This ship, which crashed on the gravity well planet sometime prior to 2381, belonged to a horned alien species.
After scans of the ship revealed that its engines were still intact, and "could be our ticket out of here", Brad Boimler wondered to AGIMUS, "You sure this thing can still fly? Seems pretty beat-up." AGIMUS assured Boimler that it could once he brought it on line. In a ruse, once they were on the ship's bridge, Boimler told AGIMUS that he could "sub you in as the navigation controls," but he "discovered" that the access port was locked behind a panel. Boimler determined that he needed an auxiliary power source to open it, and AGIMUS offered him use of his battery, which Boimler promptly used to send a distress signal. Meanwhile, while AGIMUS was busy scheming aloud that "With this ship's materials, I will produce a whole fleet of murder drones!" Boimler connected him to a dimmer switch, and ultimately foiled his plans while still being able to use him to effect a rescue. (LD: "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie")
Old derelict freighter []
This old derelict freighter was found adrift by the Bajorans about a light year from Deep Space 9.
According to Quark, who was auctioning off the contents discovered within, the freighter's cargo hold was "crammed with valuable items of every description. Antiques, paintings, vehicles." (DS9: "In the Cards")
Old waste vessel []
This old waste vessel was a large, unoccupied sublight freighter that had been drifting through space while carrying leftover radioactive waste, eventually endangering the population of Gamelan V in 2367.
Upon receiving distress calls from the planet, the USS Enterprise-D towed the barge into the Gamelan sun, narrowly avoiding exposure to the lethal doses of radiation in the process. The barge's propulsion system employed a gaseous core fission reactor but it appeared to have been inactive for the last three hundred years. Geordi La Forge referred to it as a "garbage scow." (TNG: "Final Mission")
Qualor II surplus depot []
The Qualor II Surplus Depot Z15 was a Federation junkyard that contained the hulks of numerous retired starships, along with at least two space stations. Among the identified vessels that were located at the depot were the Apollo-class T'Pau, located at Section 18-Gamma-12, and the holding vessel USS Tripoli, located along the outer rim.
Depot quartermaster Klim Dokachin once found a fourteen foot Caldorian eel on board a freighter that had been retired here. (TNG: "Unification I", "Unification II")
Smuggler's combat vessel []
This combat vessel was encountered at the Qualor II depot in 2368.
Of unknown origin, the vessel was involved in smuggling starship components from the depot by taking the place of the holding vessel USS Tripoli. This combat vessel's armaments were considerable – its phasers were powerful enough to reduce a Galaxy-class starship's shields by at least 15% in a single volley.
Following the discovery of the remains of the Vulcan vessel T'Pau's navigational deflector, the USS Enterprise-D uncovered the operation, and – disguised as an abandoned ship – lay in wait for the vessel's arrival. When it took position to receive that day's shipment of goods, the Enterprise powered up and attempted to make contact. The vessel responded to hails by opening fire. A low-power phaser burst in return destroyed one of its phaser arrays, and caused collateral damage in her cargo bays – which at the time were fully loaded, mostly with weaponry. This led to massive power fluctuations and internal explosions, finally resulting in the destruction of the entire ship. (TNG: "Unification I")
The ex-husband of Amarie was a member of the ship's crew. (TNG: "Unification II")
Solarion IV attacker []
This vessel attacked the Solarion IV colony in 2368. After its signal was detected by the USS Enterprise-D as it was leaving orbit, the vessel broadcast a message saying the Bajora were responsible for the destruction of the colony. An investigation by the Enterprise-D crew later concluded the attack was staged by the Cardassians. (TNG: "Ensign Ro")
Starbase 25 visitors []
These starships visited or were docked at Starbase 25 in 2381. (LD: "An Embarrassment Of Dooplers")
Vessel trapped in a Tyken's Rift []
This alien vessel was trapped in a Tyken's Rift located in an uncharted binary star system in 2367.
The ship, which appeared as a glowing mass, belonged to an unidentified alien species who attempted to telepathically contact the crews of both USS Brattain, and later, the USS Enterprise-D – two Federation ships found trapped on the other side of the rift. The crews of the vessel and the Enterprise-D were eventually able to collaborate, and after near-simultaneously releasing an unknown compound that interacted with hydrogen released from the Enterprise, an explosion was successfully created that freed both ships from the rift. (TNG: "Night Terrors")
