Solis was a Bajoran Vedek who was collecting donations for Bajoran flood victims on Deep Space 9 in 2374.
Constable Odo later arrested him, since paragraph seven of Station Regulation 1526 prohibited fundraising on the Promenade without a license. Solis was released in less than an hour, but Major Kira Nerys remained angry at Odo for somewhat longer. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets")
This character was only mentioned in dialogue.
Solis has appeared in several of the DS9 novels set after "What You Leave Behind". In the novels, he leads a new group of the Bajoran religion and he becomes one of the leading candidates to become the next kai of Bajor. The novel Cathedral gives his full name as Solis Tendren.
