Solosos III

Solosos III is a planet in the Demilitarized Zone, the site of a Maquis colony. In 2373, Captain Benjamin Sisko ordered the USS Defiant to fire two quantum torpedoes with 400 kilograms of trilithium resin into the atmosphere of Solosos III, rendering it uninhabitable to humans for fifty years. His actions were designed to force Maquis leader Michael Eddington to surrender himself and the biogenic weapons he was deploying against the Cardassians. The planet was subsequently settled by Cardassian refugees displaced from Veloz Prime and Quatal Prime. (DS9: "For the Uniform")
