Sony Corporation of America is the US subsidiary of Sony Corporation, one of the leading manufacturers of electronics.

The fourth season of Star Trek: Enterprise was filmed using Sony CineAlta HDW-F900 digital HD cameras, replacing the traditional 35mm film cameras by Panavision, which were used to film every Star Trek episode and feature since 1978.

The company previously received credit as the owner and creator of the computer monitors on several second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh season episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation where it was listed as Sony Corp. Of America in the end credits of the episodes.

The company also provided the productions of films such as the drama One From the Heart (1982), the drama The Outsiders (1983), the crime comedy Jumpin' Jack Flash (1986), the drama Less Than Zero (1987), the science fiction sequel The Fly II (1989), and the short drama The One (2007).

Star Trek Into Darkness was primarily filmed at Sony Pictures Studio, particularly Stage 15.
