The Stamets-type shuttlecraft was a shuttlecraft design in use by Starfleet in the late 2250s. It was the precursor to the Class F shuttlecraft of the 2260s. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")
Interior[]
The Stamets-type shuttlecraft featured a spacious interior with seats for about 6 to 8 crewmembers. Three windows allowed the navigator and pilot who sat at the front of the craft to see outside. The shuttlecraft had a hatch both on the left front side for crew members to both ingress and egress the ship. The ship needed to be depressurized or match the external atmosphere in order to safely open the door, which meant the crew would need to put on EV suits before exiting the ship if the atmosphere was toxic outside. The craft was equipped with a basic emergency transporter that could transport up to one person or large object at a time (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "All Those Who Wander")
Exterior[]
The shuttlecraft was much like its future Class F shuttlecraft counterpart externally, it had three windows on the front section to allow direct visual access by crew, a raising door along the left front section to let crew members ingress and egress the craft. For propulsion, the craft had two warp engine nacelles along the left and right of the craft connected by pylons, and an impulse engine at the top end of the aft section. The craft also had maneuvering thrusters to help turn in space. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "All Those Who Wander")
Armament[]
Stamets type shuttlecrafts were equipped with tractor beams. (SNW: "Among the Lotus Eaters")
