Star Shulman (19 April 1939 - 20 December 2019) was an actress who appeared as a Melona IV colonist in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Silicon Avatar". She filmed her scenes on Wednesday 7 August 1991 on location at the Golden Oak Ranch and on Thursday 15 August 1991 at Paramount Stage 16.

Born in 1939, she grew up and was educated in the American Northeast; she received a Bachelor of Arts from Lesley College in Cambridge and a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School. Her appearance in "Silicon Avatar" was her only credited acting appearance, though she also hosted a television program for ten years.

She worked in a variety of careers and capacities across her life, including as the executive director of California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons for two decades, taught English in Bogotá, Colombia and, following her retirement, serving as a judge for the Mill Valley Film Festival. She had a lifelong interest in film, to such a degree that she obtained an associate's degree in film studies after her retirement.

Shulman passed away in 2019 after a debilitating stroke the year before. She was survived by her close companion, Suzanne Stroh, and her brother Richard, among other family.
