The opening title sequences for Star Trek: Picard changed each season, featuring imagery specific to the themes and narrative of that season. While elements of the PIC Season 1 titles are present in PIC Season 2, the PIC Season 3 titles more literally displayed elements of the season's story through a series of LCARS panel visuals.
Season 1[]
The season one opening was produced by the design studio Prologue, and featured imagery of Château Picard, a Borg cube, chips and pieces that would culminate into Jean-Luc Picard himself.
Theme composer Jeff Russo explained that the team wanted to connect viewers to Picard's journey in a way that was "more intimate" and "more emotional" than previous Star Trek themes. [1] The melody quoted prominently from the Ressikan flute music played by Batai in TNG: "The Inner Light", an important Picard episode.
Season 2[]
The season two opening was again done by Prologue. [2]
Season 3[]
For season three, the title sequence was moved to the end of the episode just before the end credits, replacing the Star Trek: Picard theme with "The Stars – End Credits", also known as the Titan theme. [3] [4]
