Star Trek: The Collector's Edition was a fortnightly partwork magazine, produced by GE Fabbri for distribution in the Commonwealth (with the exception of Canada), Germany, France, and Spain only. It consisted of a combination of a magazine and a DVD of either one of the ten prime universe Star Trek films or of three episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

In a format similar to the previously conceived Star Trek Fact Files and Star Trek: The Magazine, the 36-page magazines contained edited material from both publications and were to be collected in special purpose 16-issue binders or slipcases. Some additional CG imagery, among others the several magazine/DVD covers featuring the starships, were provided for the print publication by former Foundation Imaging/Eden FX digital artist, Robert Bonchune, who had already done so for the source publications. The ten movie DVDs, which were the regular region 2 widescreen editions, formed their own sub collection, "Star Trek: The Film Collection".

International editions consisted of a French language edition, Star Trek: Les Nouveaux Dossiers Officiels, which was simultaneously released by Data Base Factory; a German language edition, Star Trek: Die Sammler-Edition, which started in February 2007; and a Spanish language edition released in 2006 by Salvat Editorial.

A follow-up series, conceived along the same lines, collecting Star Trek: The Original Series, began in 2007 as "Star Trek: The Original Series - The Collector's Edition".
