(written from a production point of view)
Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 2, Issue 1 was the twenty-fifth issue of Star Trek: The Magazine, an "Original Series Special" with alternate collector's edition cover, published in May 2001. It was the third of ten total collectible covers in the magazine's run.
The collector's cover featuring the USS Enterprise was specially produced by Foundation Imaging's Rob Bonchune.
The issue was originally intended to include an interview with John Logan over the yet-unnamed Star Trek Nemesis, but Logan's Oscar nomination left him unavailable, pushing the interview to Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 2, Issue 2.
