Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 2, Issue 8 was the thirty-second issue of Star Trek: The Magazine, a "Star Trek: The Motion Picture Special" with alternate collector's edition cover, published in December 2001 to commemorate the release of the "Director's Edition" DVD. It was the fifth of ten total collectible covers in the magazine's run.
