Star Trek: The Next Generation – Hive is a comic book series from IDW Publishing. The four-issue miniseries started publishing in September 2012. It shows the cast of The Next Generation dealing with the Borg in their current timeline as well as in a distant future in which the galaxy has been assimilated under the control of Locutus of Borg and the Borg Queen.
Sought out by the publisher, co-author Brannon Braga, responsible for much of the Borg story-line in Star Trek: Voyager, has stated, "[I]'d had this story in the back of my mind already because I'd always wanted to do the final chapter in the Borg saga, as I saw it, as it exists in the mythology that’s in my brain." [1]
A trade paperback collection of the miniseries was released in April 2013; the series was also collected in volume 3 of the Star Trek Graphic Novel Collection in February 2017.
