Star Trek: The Next Generation – The Complete Series is the DVD soft-board slipcase box set of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and in essence a reissue of the 2007 TNG Complete Series Boxset. The US/Canadian Region 1 set however, came without the extra special features disc and without the extras included on the Best Buy retailer exclusive bonus discs, though the latter were included on its simultaneously released Blu-ray counterpart.
Region 2 on the other hand, saw at least one release of this issue as well in Denmark (serving the whole of Scandinavia, Iceland excepted) that did include all of these, if only because the Best Buy exclusives were standard included on the original Region 2 individual season releases. In both cases, the box contained three standard plastic "Epik Pak" snapcases, two holding the discs from three seasons each, whereas the third one held the discs of the last season, and in Denmark's case the extra special features disc as well. The later 2019 French release on the other hand, dispensed with the extra disc though.
Other Region 2 territories were already served with the earlier released Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Full Journey set, which explains the absence of other Region 2 language subtitles and dubbed audio tracks on the Danish set. [1]
An Australian Region 4 version had in effect already been released as early as 2009 featuring the individual slimline season releases placed on a card tray in a soft-board lid closed box, though it was at that time often marketed on several retailer sites, including Amazon.com.au, under various different "Complete" names, despite the correct title on the box packaging. Nonetheless, a to 4,000 copies limited "Ultimate Collection" edition run was also released packaged in a steel box case with a certificate of authenticity (EAN: 9324915080409, unfortunately also used for the regular release).
