Star Trek: The Next Generation – The Full Journey is the Region B-only Blu-ray Disc box set of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and the first complete series release to be issued worldwide in the format, shortly after the individual season releases of remastered The Next Generation had run its course.

This edition made use of the European style packaging as was established for the previous DVD The Full Journey counterpart series, and became therefore the first edition of The Next Generation whose Blu-ray format came in its own distinctive packaging. Unlike the DVD counterpart however, this release came without the extra special features disc (as previously included in the 2007 TNG Complete Series Boxset), these specials having been also left out on the individual Blu-ray season releases.

The German issue – in effect released before the UK one – came in two box variants, the "Special Limited Edition" UK-style hardboard box as later issued in that country, and a regular, redesigned, hardboard slipcase box, concurrently released. The latter packaging format was also adopted for the Australian release, actually the very first Region B edition to be released. [1] The slipcase boxes varied in this respect from the UK box in that the former held each season in the standard separate plastic snapcase, whereas the UK box utilized the somewhat more cumbersome two-piece and large plastic Amaray case format, each holding about half of the total number of discs. [2]

While this release was marketed as a Region B product, it was in actuality region-free, as has become increasingly commonplace in the Blu-ray market. [3]
