Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage is a worldwide concert tour featuring music from Star Trek episodes and films accompanied by visuals on a large screen.
The performance includes musical scores from all five live action series, and the films Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek. [1] Scores are presented either 'as-live' over the corresponding visuals, or underscore medleys of moments from the various series and films. Linking narration is provided by Michael Dorn, and the orchestra is conducted by Justin Freer.
The tour premiered with two performances at London's Royal Albert Hall on 1 November 2015, where Freer, along with guest conductors Ron Jones and Jay Chattaway, led the London Philharmonic Orchestra. [2] The concert then began touring North America, beginning on 16 January 2016. [3] [4]
