(written from a production point of view)
The special edition of Star Trek is a two-disc DVD release of Star Trek. The release includes a digital copy of the film for use on PCs and portable devices. The cover also has a so-called "augmented reality" feature - the use of a webcam presents a three-dimensional holographic tour of the USS Enterprise.
