The 2010 DVD release of Star Trek Nemesis includes a series of new special features produced for its 2009 Blu-ray counterpart, and a digitally remastered version of the theatrical cut. This release debuted as part of the 22 September 2009 Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection DVD set.
However, in order to give the then-new Blu-ray Disc format preferential treatment – as was common industry policy at the time – fewer special features are included on the DVD variant.
