Station Salem-One was a fixed installation of historical significance because of an attack that occurred there.

In 2366, Captain Jean-Luc Picard compared Station Salem-One to Pearl Harbor and noted that it was remembered as "the stage for a bloody preamble to war." (TNG: "The Enemy")

This station was only mentioned in dialogue.
A deleted scene from the fourth season episode "Family" mentions one of Jack R. Crusher's ancestors dying at Station Salem-One. [1]
The script of the third season episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" mentioned a similarly named Station Salem Four, which was raided by the Bel-Zon. [2]
