Stephane Gudju (10 February 194724 May 2017; age 70) was a former stuntman and stunt actor who worked as photo double for Patrick Stewart in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "Time Squared". His portrayal was primarily for the role dubbed in the script as "P2". He received no credit for this work but is listed as Stephan Gaston on the call sheet for Tuesday 31 January 1989, the fourth day of filming of this episode. Gudju also worked as stunt double for Patrick Stewart in the second season episode "Pen Pals" where he doubled Stewart on the horse.

Beside his work on Star Trek, Gudju performed stunts in the action comedies Les quatre Charlots mousquetaires (1974) and Les Charlots en folie: À nous quatre Cardinal! (1974), the comedy La moutarde me monte au nez (1974), Let Joy Reign Supreme (1975), Hooper (1978, with Brian Keith, Gary Epper, John Eskobar, Freddie Hice, Buddy Joe Hooker, Alan Oliney, Bob Orrison, Ron Stein, and Mary Peters), Smokey and the Bandit II (1980, directed by Hal Needham and with Paul Williams, David Huddleston, John Anderson, and John Megna), The Incredible Shrinking Woman (1981, with Henry Gibson, John Glover, Ann Chatterton, Bobby Bass, Billy Hank Hooker, and Steven Lambert), Cloak & Dagger (1984, stunt coordination by Victor Paul), Runaway Train (1985, with Carl Ciarfalio, Doc Duhame, Chuck Hicks, John-Clay Scott, and Gene LeBell), The Seventh Sign (1988, with Greg Barnett, Jimmy Ortega, Charlie Brewer, and Gilbert Combs), and License to Drive (1988, with Bobby Burns, Kerrie Cullen, Allan Graf, Robert Herron, Faith Minton, John Moio, and Brian J. Williams).

He also worked on the television series Ardéchois Coeur Fidèle (1974), The Fall Guy (1982, stunt coordination by Bill Catching), and Hart to Hart (1983, with Greg Barnett) and on Stunts Unlimited (1980, directed by Hal Needham and with Chip Mayer, Glenn Corbett, Stefan Gierasch, Dick Ziker, John Larroquette, Danny Rogers, Alan Gibbs, Charles Picerni, and Jophery C. Brown).

Further stunt work include Mobsters (1991, with Jeff Bornstein, Maria Kelly, Scott Leva, Steve Kelso, Kim Robert Koscki, Joyce McNeal, Michael Papajohn, and Jeff Smolek), Hoffa (1992), the drama Jeanne la Pucelle I – Les batailles (1994), the drama Toreros (2000), Kiss of the Dragon (2001, with Yannick Derrien), and The Transporter (2002, with Yannick Derrien).

Gudju retired after filming for The Transporter wrapped and moved with his wife Eugenia, whom he married in 1979, to Romania. [1] [2]
