Stephen Beck is a writer and producer who worked as executive story editor and writer on the first season of Star Trek: Enterprise.

Beck received a degree in philosophy and biology and worked as a medical director before selling a spec script to Chicago Hope, leading to a career as a television writer.

Prior to his work on Enterprise, Beck worked as story editor on Chicago Hope and wrote scripts for UPN's Seven Days (1999-2001), which co-starred Norman Lloyd. After his departure during the first season of Enterprise he wrote an episode for the short-lived 2002 reboot of The Twilight Zone which was developed by Ira Steven Behr, and joined the production of Whoopi Goldberg's Strong Medicine as co-producer as well as writer for the episode "Breathing Lessons" in 2003, starring Jenifer Lewis.

The following year he worked as writer, story editor, and consulting producer on Doc (co-starring Richard Leacock), followed by an occupation as writer and story editor on Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye between 2003 and 2005.

In 2007 he served as writer and executive producer on the documentary The Wonder of It All, which featured interviews with Buzz Aldrin, Eugene Cernan, and Harrison Schmitt.
