Steve Diamond is an actor who was a regular background performer on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and also appeared in Star Trek Generations and the Star Trek: Voyager first season episode "Caretaker". His costume from Generations was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay, [1](X) later turning up as a featured item on the 2012 season three fourth episode of the television show Auction Kings, on which CBS archivist Alec Peters was brought in for authentication, selling for US$725.00.
Rick Berman, along with Ronald D. Moore and Brannon Braga were upset with Diamond during the scene in Generations in which he can be seen pumping his fist and saying "Yes" shortly before Brent Spiner as Data in front of him does the same. They felt Diamond had stolen the moment from Spiner and were unable to reshoot the scene. (Star Trek Generations Special Edition DVD audio commentary)
Diamond appeared in episodes of Bosom Buddies (1982, with George Murdock) and Time of Your Life (1988). He appeared as a bartender in the science fiction television movie Alien Nation: The Udara Legacy (1996, with Eric Pierpoint, Gary Graham, Michele Scarabelli, Ron Fassler, Tim de Zarn, Jeff Allin, Josh Cruze, Juan Garcia, Kevin Grevioux, Bob Harks, Stuart Nixon, Cullen Chambers, Scott Barry, Ivy Borg, Gene Cross, Dan Rose, Scott L. Schwartz, Gary Morgan, Denney Pierce, and Maria Kelly).
