Sufe M. Bradshaw (born 6 November 1979; age 45) is an American actress and dancer who played an alien Starfleet cadet in Star Trek. This was her first major feature film role. Her alien character was dubbed "Jessica" during the production to distinguish her from the other alien characters. Barney Burman commented the work on her as a "straight make-up job".

Bradshaw was born in Chicago, Illinois, and holds a degree in Theatre from the Los Angeles City Theatre Academy in California. She studied acting at Playhouse West in Los Angeles and at the Van Mar Academy in Hollywood. Her stage credits include productions of A Raisin in the Sun, The Glass Menagerie, and Hamlet. [1]

She appeared with Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and one-time Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actor Leon Russom in the 2005 short film The Les Brown Show. She made her film acting debut in the 2006 independent drama Speechless, after which she starred in the 2007 made-for-TV movies Black Woman's Guide to Finding a Good Man and Mr. Jackson's Neighborhood.

In 2008, Star Trek: Voyager regular Roxann Dawson directed Bradshaw in an episode of CBS' Cold Case, featuring Deep Space Nine guest actresses Molly Hagan and Deborah Strang and Deep Space Nine/Voyager guest actor John Prosky.

In addition, Bradshaw has appeared on UPN's One on One and Dance 360 and MTV's Yo Momma. She also made a guest appearance on Mind of Mencia.

From 2012 to 2019, Bradshaw portrayed Sue Wilson in Veep, with Gary Cole. For this work she received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2014. In 2015, she received another nomination, shared this time with co-star Diedrich Bader. [2]
